BAM Digital Media is heading to the Brooklyn Charter School Fair & Kids Activity Expo, and I would love to meet you there!

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, Brooklyn families will gather at the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center for a free afternoon focused on education, family resources, and children’s activities. BAM Digital Media will be there with free digital literacy resources to help families navigate some of the biggest technology questions facing children today.

The event begins at 12:00 p.m. and is free to attend.

What Families Can Find at the BAM Digital Media Table

Technology is part of nearly every child’s life, yet many families are still trying to figure out how to manage it in a healthy and realistic way.

Parents are asking important questions:

• How much screen time is too much?
• Why does my child keep seeing the same kind of content?
• What should I know about artificial intelligence?
• How can I protect my child without monitoring every second?

Families who visit the BAM Digital Media table can pick up free resources designed to make those conversations easier. Materials will cover topics such as screen-time habits, digital wellness, online safety, and cyberbullying.

I will also be available to speak with parents about algorithms and personalized feeds. These systems play a major role in determining what children see online, yet many young people believe the content appearing on their screens is random.
