The Challenge

Digital Readiness Is Now a College Success Skill

Students are expected to research online, communicate professionally, use artificial intelligence appropriately, evaluate information, and protect their digital identities — while preparing for careers being rapidly reshaped by technology.

Many students have never received formal instruction in these skills.

  • They already know how to use technology. The question is whether they know how to use it strategically, responsibly, and confidently.
  • AI tools are being used in coursework without the critical thinking skills to verify, evaluate, or apply them effectively.
  • Digital footprints are forming before students understand what they mean for future opportunities.
  • Attention and focus are increasingly difficult in environments designed to compete for both.

“Students are navigating AI, misinformation, and digital distraction every single day — without a roadmap. BAM Digital Media workshops give them one.”

BAM Digital Media workshops bridge the gap between how students use technology and how they need to use it — combining digital literacy, career readiness, AI education, media literacy, and real-world experience into sessions students can immediately apply.

Workshops are interactive, accessible, and designed around the digital environments students actually navigate every day.
